Lucerne

is one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland, situated on the shores of Lake Lucerne with the mountains in the background, it is a beautiful place. When you stroll through the city make sure you visit the Lion Monument. It represents an homage to the bravery of Swiss mercenaries who, in the 17th century, were part of the Royal Family of France. In 1792’s Insurrection, French Revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace, fighting broke out during which 760 Swiss mercenaries were killed. In 1894 Thomas Brady copied the Lion for the Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
